The activities offered at Temple Croft are fairly wide ranging.  We have a very comprehensive activities time table which includes chair exercises, Bingo, Reminiscence sessions, card games, dominoes, jig saw puzzles, quizzes, old time singing, dancing and karaoke.  Staff organise shows and individual residents are offered the opportunity to do a turn a poem, song, dance or ditty.

 

We also have in house entertainment every two months and planned outings once a quarter.  Every client’s birthday is celebrated with a cake shared with the other residents and their relatives.  Our Easter Party, Summer Fayre, Christmas Fayre and Christmas party are musts and are celebrated with a great deal of gusto.

 

Newspapers and periodicals can be ordered by individual clients and delivered daily this would incur the charges of the papers and their delivery. Also we have a bookcase in the small lounge which has a regular delivery of large print books from the library and other books such as novels, gardening, poetry etc.

 

It is rare that our clients are ever bored and in the event there is seemingly nothing to do you will find our friendly staff painting nails or giving hand massages. Despite the number of activities on offer, Temple Croft has great respect for individuality and freedom of choice.

 

Our clients are never pressured into participating and you will find that we like to encourage and, where possible, assist our residents in pursuing their own hobbies. Also, every room is equipped with a television and a radio can be arranged if necessary.  Subscription TV can also be arranged if needed.
