Staff

The staff at Bradley House consists of Nurses, Team Leaders, Care Assistants, domestic staff and kitchen staff. We have received many comments on the friendliness, efficiency and caring excellence of our staff. There is a great sense of team spirit and a cleaner would be just as happy as a care assistant to make a drink for a resident or visitor.

Team Leaders are fully competent to administer medication as prescribed and identify changes in a resident's health which need to be referred to their GP. They are all very experienced and have completed or are undertaking NVQ Level 3 qualifications.

In times of need people are provided with the support they require whether this be physical, psychological or emotional to help them cope with any change in circumstances. The staff are acutely aware that it is not only our residents who may need our support but also their relatives and friends.

All new staff have to undertake the twelve week induction program as defined by the Care Quality Commission, our regulatory authority. All our staff are trained to the defined mandatory standards with most having more than the mandatory training. We encourage all our care staff to train to at least NVQ level 2.

Our staffing levels are closely monitored by the manager who always ensures we comply with our regulatory body.

We are very proud of our staff because, they get to know all our clients very well and are able to care for them in every way, encouraging, prompting, reassuring, listening and helping them where necessary with personal care, any problems and giving any other assistance that may be required.

In addition to the care staff we have committed domestic staff to do the "housework" and "laundry Service". They are very important for infection control & general cleanliness and hygiene, and two excellent cooks take care of all the dietary needs of the clients including special diets, nutritious food, and the making of the yummy cakes and deserts.

All of the staff get to know our clients very well and each client is assigned a key worker. It is their task to communicate with the client, relaying their needs and changed needs back to other members of staff and really this becomes a friendship and trust between the client, their relatives and the home.
